The City of Vancouver, BC Housing and CMHC are partnering to deliver up to 350 new homes of supportive housing to address the urgent housing crisis for people experiencing homelessness through the Permanent Modular Supportive Housing Initiative (PMSHI). PMSHI is intended to fill the growing need for supportive housing in the City of Vancouver via the rapid deployment of permanent modular housing.
The purpose of the proposed rezoning is to revise this RM-4 site into a comprehensive development, CD-1 Bylaw that would accommodate 140-units of permanent supportive housing. The requested FSR, as outlined in the Project Statistics is 4.42. The rezoning would allow a new building at 2086 and 2098 West 7th Avenue, and 2091 West 8th Avenue to provide approximately 140 studio homes with supports for single adults, seniors and people with disabilities who were experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the local community.
