A rezoning application has been submitted to rezone 4408-4488 Fraser Street & 707-709 E 29th Avenue from RT-2 (Residential) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District. The site is located within affordable housing choice plan sector. It will allow for the development of seven storey mixed-use building. The project will be a full rental building with ample of amenities nearby by provide ease of travel and convenient shopping experience.
Multiple projects have been proposed under the affordable housing choice plan on Fraser street making this the 6th of its kind. The intent of the development is to provide 100 units of market rental housing, with a mix of homes ranging from studios to 3-bedroom units, and 9,101sqft of commercial space all contained within a 6-storey mixed-use building form plus rooftop amenity. The proposed residential and commercial area is 87,717sqft achieving an FSR of 3.65. The proposal contained herein would rezone and consolidate the subject properties to CD-1 under the City of Vancouver’s Affordable Housing Choices Interim Rezoning Policy
